| Primary Colours A Celebration of Children's Art |

Saturday 23 January - Wednesday 10 February 2010
(Open Monday - Saturday) 10am - 5pm
This annual exhibition remains a firm favourite, brightening up the gloomy winter days with colourful artworks from floor to ceiling. Eleven local primary schools contribute drawings, paintings, collage, printmaking and sculpture to this exhibition, offering inspiration to artists of all ages. Picasso recognised the freshness and vitality of children's art work when he said, 'every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up', and amongst the community of local artists in the South Hams, many insist that Primary Colours remains the highlight of the gallery year. Harbour House is grateful to Kingsbridge Town Council for its contribution to the cost of staging this important exhibition. The following schools have contributed work to this year's Primary Colours Exhibition: Aveton Gifford Primary School Blackawton Primary School Charleton C of E Primary School East Allington Primary School Kingsbridge Community Primary School Loddiswell Primary School Malborough with South Huish Primary School Salcombe C of E Primary School Stokenham Area Primary School Thurlestone All Saints C of E Primary School West Alvington C of E Primary School
