 These ‘oil based media’ workshops are a continuation of the popular OIL BAR and OIL PASTEL and OILS workshop held in December last year. It is however perfectly suitable for first timers!

 Creative exercises using music, movement, words, sound and silence will form ways to warm up
and access the creative stream.

 Step by step instruction and guidance will be given as well as demonstrations covering technique,
colour and composition.

 Oil Bars and oil pastels are a very forgiving mediums and work as a perfect bridge combining drawing and painting.  Using colour, limited palettes and focussing on design it is an ideal for those who feel they would like to experiment
and loosen up and be more expressive.

Helpful exercises and approaches will be suggested to work toward this,
using a semi-abstract approach toward still life and composition.

 Find the excitement and the journey begins!

 MATERIALS USED:

OIL pastels can be used on paper.

OIL BARS – can be used on primed paper, board and canvas.

OILS on board or canvas.

TURPS and LINSEED can be used with all the media.
