Tel:01548 550350 I think the beauty of the technique is the fact that, with the help of a teacher, you learn a whole new approach to life which enables you to live it more effectively and positively. Through the years we have all developed habits of thought and behaviour which are not necessarily appropriate or helpful, but they have disappeared into the fabric of our habitual and unconscious reactions to stress. At times when we feel rushed, challenged, frustrated or under pressure, we do not stop to think the body takes the established route without us being aware, much less in control. The Alexander Technique is a gentle re-education of the mind, body and emotions towards a conscious state of balance. The resulting change is a unified force for health and a sense of well-being. CLASSES: The Alexander Technique is generally taught on a one-to-one basis but there is a lot of scope for small group work as well. I will be teaching both ways at Harbour House. COST AND BOOKING: Individual lessons will cost £22 and last about 40 minutes. Group sessions will be £7.50 per person for about 1 hour. As these will be small groups only, booking is essential. CLOTHING: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. As there is some work on a treatment table, women will be more at ease in trousers rather than skirts.
