In these workshops we will use experimental drawing approaches to make drawings from the clothed figure,
the head (portrait) and from the local Kingsbridge environment.

The basis of these drawings will be “the mark”; the qualities and possibilities of marks made using a variety of media on different drawing surfaces.
Markmaking will then be used as a visual investigation of the subject.

The drawings can then be taken on into paintings.

Please bring charcoal. Ink, pencils, erasers, rag and white paint plus colour of your choice.
Oil/acrylic, coloured papers, inks etc (not watercolour)

Various drawing and painting papers available from the tutor.
