With reflections from ancient monasticism, modern jazz and contemporary design,
Ian Adams explores patterns, poems and practices for personal stillness, reshaping of community, and renewal of the earth.
This will be a day of insight, stillness and contemplative practice, helping you to discover your own patterns for a life that is good for you,
good for the people around you, and good for the earth.
Ian Adams is a South West-based writer, poet and teacher working with themes of spirituality, culture and community.
He is a director of the Stillpoint project, which seeks to nurture the practice of spirituality
by exploring the contemplative and mystical streams of the ancient Christ-following tradition,
and learning from other spiritual traditions and the arts.
He is the creator of the daily morning bell call to stillness,
and author of Cave Refectory Road: Monastic Rhythms for Contemporary Living (Canterbury Press 2010).
