Derek has 20 years experience. The last twelve years being more serious and in depth. He has studied with a variety of teachers both western and oriental, including The Tse Qigong School, Christopher Pei and studied both Yang and Chen Style in Plymouth for 2 years with Zhondi - Zhu, a Tai-Chi instructor from Shanghai. For the last 7 years he has been a member of The Zhong -Ding Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Association With which he is presently a 3rd Duan Senior Instructor.
Teaching all the elements of traditional Tai-Chi with a modern friendly approach, Derek teaches Yang style in the manner of the late Grandmaster Cheng- Man-Ching. All classes include Chi-kung as both integral and complementary art to the practice of Tai-Chi.
