Derek has 20 years' experience in Tai Chi, the last twelve years being particularly serious and in depth.
He has studied with a variety of teachers, both western and oriental, including The Tse Qigong School and
Christopher Pei, and has studied both Yang and Chen Style in Plymouth for 2 years with Zhondi - Zhu, a Tai-Chi instructor from Shanghai.
For the last 7 years he has been a member of The Zhong -Ding Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Association,
with which he is currently a 3rd Duan Senior Instructor.

Teaching all the elements of traditional Tai-Chi with a modern friendly approach,
Derek teaches Yang style in the manner of the late Grandmaster Cheng- Man-Ching.
All classes include Chi-kung as both an integral and a complementary art to the practice of Tai-Chi.
