with Ann Yeoman

Thursdays:
13 September, 11 October, 8 November, 13 December 2012
10 January, 14 February, 14 March, 11 April, 9 May 2013

12 noon - 3 pm

Cost: £8 per session

Folk- and fairy-tales express, in symbolic form, the age-old, archetypal patterns of human development that unfold and actualize themselves in the life of each individual. Fairy tales, like dreams, point to autonomous processes taking place in the background of our conscious lives, and that may be glimpsed in that “other,” inner world of imagination and creative fantasy. These archetypically human modes of functioning invariably shape our lives in the outer world of school, work, and relationship. Stories, myths, and fairy-tales provide an inexhaustible store of wisdom concerning the soul’s journey and the nature of the human psyche.

Who might be interested in the sessions? Those who are fascinated by the power of story, image and symbol to help us become conscious of behaviours, thoughts and feelings only dimly intuited; those interested in “depth psychology” and the analytical psychology of C.G. Jung; anyone wondering about the typical patterns that shape our lives, and the typical challenges we meet on our individual journeys.

For further information and booking, please contact Ann Yeoman at 01548 560 860

The meetings will be relaxed, informal, fun and informative. Copies of the tale will be provided. All you need to bring is your curiosity, your love of story, and perhaps a pen—no prior knowledge of fairy-tale analysis or depth psychology necessary!

Ann Yeoman is a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute (Zurich) and holds degrees in English Literature. She worked for many years in Canada as a teacher, lecturer and analytical psychologist (Jungian analyst). In 2008, she returned ‘home’ to Devon where she continues to work in private practice as a Jungian analyst/psychotherapist.
