Abstract art is defined as art that has no reference to any figurative reality.
In its wider sense it describes art that is simplified or reduced in a way that keeps a hint of the original subject
- usually referred to as
semi-abstract or non-figurative art.

This course looks at ways of altering imagery and developing ideas to reach a level of abstraction that you feel comfortable with.
It may be that you just want to be able to produce a picture that is not a totally realistic copy of the original subject,
or you may feel the need to loosen up and experiment with different materials to find total abstraction.

The aim will be to learn how to make your artworks your own, and find your individual artistic voice.

Anita encourages experimentation, taking risks, and having fun in a relaxed and creative environment.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists.
